Marion Przekurat Schmidt, age 89, of Beaver Dam, died Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.
Visitation for Marion will be at the Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Sunday, March 13, 2011 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, where a rosary service will be held at 6:00 PM, and at church on Monday from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, 511 S. Spring Street in Beaver Dam, on Monday, March 14, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Fr. Michael J. Erwin will officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph”s Catholic Cemetery in Rio.
The former Marion Andrella Hegna was born on February 7, 1922 to the late Clarence and Nellie (Quinn) Hegna. She was united in marriage with Bernard Przekurat and later, after his death, she was united in marriage with Louis Schmidt. Marion enjoyed playing cards and bingo. She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Beaver Dam and was a past member of the Christian Mothers in Randolph.
Survivors include her children, David (Jean) Przekurat of Wild Rose, Michael (Diane) Przekurat of Modesto, CA, John (Sandra) Przekurat Beaver Dam, James (Pat) Przekurat of Beaver Dam, Raymond (Sue) Przekurat of Columbus, Russell (Terry Westover) Prze of Toltec, AZ, Joseph (Vicky) Przekurat of Vancouver, WA, Patrick (Crystal) Przekurat of Juneau, Greg Przekurat of Columbus, Mary (Allan) Kruger of Beaver Dam, and Doris (Ethan) Nickel of Whitmore, MI; 29 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; her daughter-in-law, Sharlene Przekurat of Cedarburg; her son-in-law, Joseph Schade of Beaver Dam; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Marion was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Bernard and her second husband Louis; three children, Dennis Przekurat, William Przekurat, and Theresa Schade; her grandson, Curtis Przekurat; her brother, Chester Hegna; and her sister, Doris Hegna.
If desired, memorials may be made in Marion Przekurat Schmidt”s name to St. Katharine Drexel Parish, Hillside Manor, or Hillside Hospice.
