Mark S. Gindt, age 58, of Mayville passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.A private family graveside service will be held.Mark was born on May 24, 1959 the son of Marvin and Helen (Ondrejka) Gindt. He was a 1977 graduate of Mayville High School and was currently employed at Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac. Mark loved taking his Harley out whenever he could, and even sometimes when it was so cold he was the only bike on the road. He also had a passion for trap shooting and sporting clays and was a former member, and board member, at the Mayville Gun Club. He was highly competitive and loved out-shooting his son. Additionally, he enjoyed making wine but moreover, he loved sharing it with his friends and family. More than anything, Mark cherished the time spent with his family, especially his granddaughter, Charlotte. Being “Papa Mark” made him light up in a way nothing else could. Mark will be remembered by many for his big heart, loud laugh, and his amazing sense of humor.Mark is survived by his son- Nicholas (Jamie) Gindt of Sun Prairie. His granddaughter Charlotte. His sister-Laurie (Douglas) Schuster of Fond du Lac. His nieces- Brittany (Tyler) Tomjanovich of Mount Horeb and Sarah Schuster of Fond du Lac. His great niece- Hailey Tomjanovich. He is further survived by other relatives and many friends.He was preceded in death by his parents.
