Martha Wenger, age 93, of 305 S. Clark Street, Mayville, WI passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Mayville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Martha was born the daughter of Jakob & Rosina (Beyeler) Urfer on June 27, 1921 in Switzerland. Martha was united in marriage to Jacob Wenger on April 14, 1945 in Switzerland.

Martha came to the U.S. in 1950, together with her husband they farmed in the Huilsburg area and later owned & operated Water’s Edge Resort on Shawano Lake until 1998. Martha enjoyed cooking, knitting, gardening, fishing and was an avid Packer’s fan.

Martha is survived by her children- Marti ( Leonard) Wantz, Kathy (Tom) Rahn, Wally (Sara) Wenger, Ruth (Dave) Fettig, John (Laurie) Wenger & Connie (Al) Richert; 17 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; nieces & nephews, other relatives & friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and 8 brothers & sisters.
