Marvin M. Nehring, age 59, died on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at his home in Beaver Dam surrounded by his loving family.

The visitation will be at Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Sunday, June 27, 2010 from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM. There will also be a visitation at First Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam on Monday, June 28, 2010 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. The funeral service will follow at church on Monday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dr. Mark J. Moldrem officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in the Town of Beaver Dam and lunch will follow at Bayside Supper Club, W9231 CTH “G” in Beaver Dam.

Marvin Morris Nehring was born on July 12, 1950 in Beaver Dam, to Marvin and Muriel (Lindert) Nehring, Sr. On August 5, 1972 he was united in marriage with Marjorie Hron at First Ev. Lutheran Church. Marv worked for Northeast Asphalt for many years, hauling heavy equipment, before he drove truck for Payne and Dolan Co. His health led him to retire in the spring of 2009. Marv enjoyed many things which included family outings and vacations. He also had a passion for snowmobiling and was a long-time member of Sno-Kats. Marv”s grandchildren were his pride and joy and he enjoyed every second that he spent with them. He will be missed by all of his family and the many friends that he has made throughout the years.

Survivors are his wife, Marge Nehring of Beaver Dam, children, Jason (Stephanie Duckett) Nehring, and Jessie (Jim Priewe) Nehring, all of Beaver Dam, grandchildren, Dylan Nehring, and Ashton and Avery Priewe, his mother, Muriel “Pete” Nehring of Columbus, sisters, Jane (Dick) Schumann of Portage, and LaVonne (Gary) Marks, of Columbus, parents-in-law, Charles (Carol) Hron of Beaver Dam, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Marvin, his brother and sister-in-law, Myron and Rosie Nehring, and a brother-in-Law, Gary Zuehlke.

Even though I am 2000 miles away, my thoughts, prayers, and sincere love is with all of you right now. I will always cherish the special times that we got to spend with all of you last summer. Spending the afternoon with you and Marv was one of the best days of our entire trip. We are so thankful to have gotten that opportunity to relax, kick back, and "drink" with you two! I will always cherish those memories and the photos of us on that great day! Marv will forever remain in my heart and will always be missed by all of us here in AZ. Jessie and Family, I use to think there are no words to say at a time like this, but having going through the loss of my own family members the words "I''m sorry for your loss" really do mean a lot! My thoughts are with you and your family! Jessie-your dad was a great person and a great dad to you! So sorry to hear about Marv. My prayers and sympathy are with the family. I remember him in the days he was called Jr.and shared afternoons of adventures when I lived at Grandpa (John) Nowak''s farm. Always remember the good times. Marg, take care. Rita Nowak

We are very sorry for your loss. Marv was the kind of person who was easy to talk to and fun to be around. I will always remember when he helped me out of the snowbank in the middle of the night and his wonderful sense of humor. They say with time the ache goes away but its always there as we remember all the good times, we just need to know that at those times the people we miss are with us in our hearts and will help us through it.
