Visitation: Thursday, May 9th from 4 – 7 p.m. at the church with a Rosary service being held at 6:30 p.m., and also on Friday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church.
Mary A. Zastrow, 88, of Horicon passed away suddenly on Monday, May 6, 2013 at her home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 10, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Parish with the Rev. Fr. Michael Petrie officiating. A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 9th from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the church with a Rosary service being held at 6:30 p.m., and also on Friday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will take place at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
Mary was born the daughter of Paul and Mary (Bauer) Warmka on July 18, 1924 in Fox Lake, WI. She was married to Glenn G. Zastrow on October 1, 1947 at the St. Peter’s Rectory in Beaver Dam. Mary was active with the Beaver Dam Farmers’ Market where she sold produce for many years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Parish in Horicon. Mary will be missed her family, many friends and her special pet cat, ‘Bandit’.
Mary is survived by her three children: Robert Zastrow of Beaver Dam, Judy Steger of Juneau and Donald (Linda) Zastrow of Horicon; her sister-in-law, Elaine Warmka of Beaver Dam; her grandchildren: Jennifer (Mark) Franz II of Horicon, Michael (Bonnie) Zastrow of Juneau, Rebecca Zastrow of Horicon, Ashley Zastrow of Horicon and Laura (Tim) Enderle of Theresa; her great-grandchildren: Mark Franz III, Jordon Franz, Lauren and Abigail Zastrow, Kimberly, Matthew, Kaitlin and Megan Enderle and further survived by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Glenn in 2000, an infant son, her son-in-law, Stanley Steger and three siblings, Andrew, Clarence and Ella.
