

Mary Eva Pezze, age 92, longtime resident of Mayville, WI passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2015.A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary will be held on Wednesday, April 1 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Mayville, WI with Rev. Fr. Tom Biersack presiding. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 1 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the church in Mayville. Burial will take place at St. Mary Cemetery in Mayville. A luncheon will follow the burial at the Mayville Golf Course.Mary was born the daughter of Balzer & Eva (Klem) Benz on March 14, 1923 in Horicon. She was united in marriage to John M. Pezze on August 28, 1943 in Beaver Dam. She graduated from UW Oshkosh with a degree in education and she went on to become a 2nd grade teacher at Herman Consolidated Schools for over 10 years. She was member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville. In her spare time she loved to volunteer her time to help others while helping with church functions or Meals on Wheels. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting, and crocheting. Crossword puzzles were also a favorite of Mary’s. Music played a special part in Mary’s life and was on almost all of the time in her home.Mary is survived by her children- Celeste (Richard) Hein of Brookfield, Mike (Margaret Stone) Pezze of St. Petersburg, FL. and Tony (Susan) Pezze of Carlsbad, CA. Her sister- Rosina Mullen of Madison. Her grandchildren- Melanie Thiel, Doug (Carol) Thiel, Monica Pezze, Joe Pezze, and Christina Pezze. Her step grandchildren- Richard (Amy) Hein, Lisa (Bill) Acker, Matthew Hein, Evan (Kristin) Mory, and Luke Mory. Her great grandchildren- Eric Thiel, Adam Thiel, and Maya Tracy. Her step great grandchildren- Madalyn Mory, Nicholas Hein, Eleni Hein, Cole Acker, Benjamin Acker, and Ryan Acker.
