Mary R. King, age 88, formerly of Beaver Dam, died Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at her home in Springfield, Illinois.

Visitation for Mary will be at the Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM. There will be a rosary service at 10:45 AM followed immediately by the funeral service. Burial will be at St. Patrick”s Cemetery in the Town of Beaver Dam, Dodge County, Wisconsin.

The former Mary Rita Manning was born on September 3, 1922 in Green Bay, Wisconsin to the late Maurice and Deborah (Sheehy) Manning. She graduated from Green Bay West High School in 1940 and went to work at Peoples Bank and Trust. On August 21, 1948, she was united in marriage with Charles King in Green Bay. They moved to Beaver Dam in 1953 and Mary later went to work at Marine Bank until she retired in 1986. She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Parish and had been active with the Christian Women and the Daughters of Isabella. Mary was also a member of the Beaver Dam Community Hospital Auxiliary and AARP.

Survivors include her two daughters, Deborah King and Mary Beth King, both of Springfield, IL; her two sons, David (Beverly) King of Fond du Lac and Matthew (Mary) King of Eleva; four grandchildren, Amanda (Mathew) Sabel of Fond du Lac, Nathan King of Fond du Lac, Sara (fiancAC. Ryan) King of Eleva, and Sam King of Eleva; a great grandson, Gavin King; her sister, Margaret (Terrence) Madsen of New Franken; two brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law, Edward Raymakers of Manitowoc, Eugene (Patricia) King of Madison, and Kathleen King of Green Bay; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1970; her sister, Kathleen Raymakers; a brother-in-law, John King; and a sister-in-law, Lucille Bork.

If desired, memorials may be made in Mary R. King”s name to Church of St. Jude, 633 S. Walnut Street, Rochester, Illinois 62563.
