MaryAnn R. Salzman, age 92, of Beaver Dam, died on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Hillside Manor.
The memorial gathering will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home, N7199 North Crystal Lake Road, on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 from 10:00 AM until 10:50 AM. The memorial service will follow at the Crystal Lake Road funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 AM with Fr. Vince Kobida officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date at St. Peter”s Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
The former MaryAnn R. Tischler was born on July 2, 1921 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to John and Elizabeth (Kummer) Tischler. She was united in marriage with Lester Salzman on November 29, 1945 in Beaver Dam. MaryAnn enjoyed playing cards, listening to music, reading, and doing crossword puzzles. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish and was a member of the Catholic Women”s Society.
Survivors are her daughters, Janet Johnston (Greg Seegert) of Beaver Dam and Laurie Salzman of Sun Prairie; a daughter-in-law, Jane Lord of Beaver Dam; grandchildren, Nicole Johnston, Liz Ptaschinski, Maryn Ptaschinski, Brad Salzman, and Jackie Salzman; step grandchildren, Kelly (John) Dries, Kristi (Jerrold) Lunde, Joe (Susan) Lord; great granddaughter, Hailey Salzman; step great grandchildren, Maria and Nadia Dries, Mariah, Mylana and Charlie Lunde, Zoe and Alexander Lord; family friend, Yvonne Salzman; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. MaryAnn was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Kathy; son, John; sisters, Florence Hupf and Dorothy O”Malley; and brother, Virgil Tischler.
