Melvin C. Unglaub, 92 years old, of Theresa, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Crossroads Care Center in Mayville.A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, April 18 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Theresa with the Rev. Jon A. Learman officiating. A visitation will take place on Tuesday, April 18 from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Theresa. Burial will take place at Union Cemetery in Theresa and a luncheon will follow at St. Peter’s.Melvin was born to Albert and Elizabeth (Reklau) Unglaub on August 23,1924 at his family’s home in the Township of Theresa. He was baptized into faith on September 7, 1924 and confirmed on April 10, 1938 both at St. Peter’s in Theresa. He farmed on his parents farm and was a partner in Truss’ Plus and then worked part time for Geulig Construction. Melvin also loved the town of Theresa and served it in many capacities such as Town Treasurer for 9 years, Historical Society for 10 years, plowed snow for 7 years, and past director of Union Cemetery. He was also a faithful member of St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church where he served as secretary treasurer for over 15 years and also played dart ball. He was very active in the Theresa Lions Club since 1974 and served as secretary, treasurer, past vice president, and past president. Melvin is survived by his sister- LuAnn (Charles) Ringle of Lomira. His niece- Carmen (Richard) Bauer of Mayville. His nephews- Charles (Crystal) Ringle, Jr. Of Mosinee and Todd (Katherine) Ringle of Lomira. His great nieces and nephews- Erin Kempf, Eric Bauer, Desirae Ringle, Sandra Ringle, and Jackson Ringle. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, 3 brothers, and a great niece Alexi Ringle. Memorials may be made to St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church or to St. Agnes Hospice Hope.
