Mildred L. Henderson, age 87, died Monday, May 9, 2011 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Friday, May 13, 2011 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A memorial service will be at the funeral home on Friday, beginning at 1:00 PM. Inurnment will follow at St. Peter”s Cemetery in the Town of Beaver Dam, Dodge County, Wisconsin.
The former Mildred Lucy Hinkes was born on May 12, 1923 in Brownsville, Wisconsin to the late Edmund and Mary (Weiglein) Hinkes. She lived in Burnett and graduated from Horicon High School. Mildred was an excellent cook and worked in the Deli at the Sentry Store in Beaver Dam for 23 years. She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Parish in Beaver Dam.
Survivors include her four children, Mary (Jim) Pacer of Mauston, Gary Henderson of Pardeeville, JoAnn Stevens of Dubuque, IA, and Debra (Jack) Qualmann of Rosendale; six grandchildren, Kimberly Spillers of Madison, Billy (Franciska) Qualmann of Oshkosh, Virginia Durfee of Waupun, Justin Olson of Fond du Lac, Ryan Neitzel of Burnett, and Kurtis Manning of Dubuque, IA; two great grandchildren, Phoenix Durfee and Anna Marie Qualmann; her sister and brother, Bernice (Milton) Warber of Beaver Dam and Merlin Hinkes of Beaver Dam, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; her step mother Hanna; her husband Francis in 1985; her son Michael in 1998; her brother Silverus Hinkes; and her special friend, Harland Schroeder.
