Services: A Mass of Christian Burial be at St. Katharine Drexel Church on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 11:00 AM with Fr. Mike Erwin officiating.
Visitation: The visitation will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home, N7199 North Crystal Lake Road in Beaver Dam, on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. There will also be a visitation at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church in Beaver Dam on Thursday, May 8, 2014 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
Monita A. Hupf, age 86, of Beaver Dam, died on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison.
The visitation will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home, N7199 North Crystal Lake Road in Beaver Dam, on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. There will also be a visitation at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church in Beaver Dam on Thursday, May 8, 2014 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at the church on Thursday at 11:00 AM with Fr. Mike Erwin officiating. Cremation will follow and inurnment will take place at a later date at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Town of Beaver Dam, Dodge County, Wisconsin.
The former Monita Ann Bortz was born on February 23, 1928 in Beaver Dam to Herbert and Annetta (Zepp) Bortz. On October 20, 1948, she was united in marriage with Jerome Hupf in Fox Lake; he preceded Monita in death in 2009. Monita worked as an aide and a clerk at Beaver Dam Hospital for 26 years. She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish.
Survivors include her children, David (Judy) Hupf, Santee, CA, Darryl (Deb) Hupf, Beaver Dam, Dean Hupf, Beaver Dam, Douglas Hupf, Clarksville, TN, Dwain (Kathy) Hupf, Beaver Dam, Delton Hupf, Clarksville, TN, and Dawn (Jeff) Luck, Beaver Dam, ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, three brothers, Gerald (Betty) Bortz and Wayne (Barbara) Bortz, both of Beaver Dam, and Richard (Carolyn) Bortz of DeForest, three sisters, Joan Goodrich, Jean (Ralph) Desjarlais, and Barbara (Donald) Gensch, all of Beaver Dam, a daughter-in-law, Dianne Hupf of Beaver Dam, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Monita was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, an infant daughter, Donna, a daughter, Debra Sires and her son, Dale Hupf.
