Norbert J. Stratman, age 91, of Juneau, died on Saturday, October 3, 2009, surrounded by his family.
The visitation will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Horicon, on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at the church on Tuesday at 6:00 PM with Fr. Michael Petrie officiating. Burial will be at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Juneau on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at 9:00 AM.
Norbert Joseph Stratman was born on June 17, 1918 in Fordyce, NE to Fred and Sophie (Koch) Stratman. On October 13, 1943, he was united in marriage with Hilda Tramp, in Crofton, NE. Norbert farmed in Nebraska for 17 years. In February of 1960, he moved to Juneau, WI where he continued farming for 23 years. He was a member of the Holy Name Society for Immaculate Conception Church. After retirement, Norbert was a volunteer driver for Unified Services.
Survivors are his children, Dan (Marge) Stratman, Watertown, Don (Lucy) Stratman, Neosho, Dave (Karen) Stratman, Watertown, and Deb (Ken) Wiebelhaus, Juneau, 21 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a sister, Clara, in infancy, and two brothers, Albert and Ike.
