Norbert “Shorty” LaTendresse, 78 years old, of Horicon, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 4, 2017 in the comfort of his home.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 9th at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Parish, in Horicon, with the Rev. Father Mike Petri celebrating the mass. A visitation will be held from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9th at Sacred Heart Parish. Burial will take place at St. Malachy Catholic Cemetery in Horicon.Norbert A. LaTendresse was born on December 25, 1938 to Anatole and Blanche LaTendresse in Chassell, MI. He was the second of four children born to the couple. On June 24, 1967 he was united in marriage to Alice Arnold, a love that would last a lifetime.Shorty was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Horicon. He served his country in the U.S. Navy as a young man. He then started working for John Deere in Waterloo, IA. He later transferred to John Deere Horicon Works in Horicon, where he moved with his wife Alice. Norbert loved the outdoors- fishing, hunting, trapping and any other reason to get to the woods and waters. He enjoyed traveling, watching sports and spending time with his friends and family.Shorty is survived by; his sons Thomas LaTendresse of Horicon and Jason LaTendresse of Horicon; his brother Eugene LaTendresse of Willow, AK; his sister Sherry Ann LaTendresse of Omaha, NE; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Shorty is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Alice in 2015, and his brother David LaTendresse.
