Norma Jean Wille

October 24, 1926 - April 27, 2011

Norma Wille, age 84, died Tuesday, April 27, 2011 at her home in Horicon with her daughters by her side.

Visitation for Norma will be at St. Stephen Evangelical Lutheran Church, 505 North Palmatory Street in Horicon, on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will follow at church on Tuesday beginning at 11:00 AM with Rev. Daniel Seehafer officiating. Burial will be at Oakhill Cemetery in Horicon.

Norma Jean, the daughter of the late Edward and Ella (Sherven) Baum, was born on October 24, 1926 in an old stone farm house on the James River near Huron, SD. She attended schools in Huron and graduated from Huron High School. In 1945, Norma came to Horicon to visit her sister; while they were at the bowling alley, she met Melvin, her future husband. On March 2, 1946, they were united in marriage in Menomonee Falls. They were married for 60 years and were always together. Norma and Melvin enjoyed going back to South Dakota to pheasant hunt. Norma also enjoyed golfing, shooting trap, bowling and flower gardening. She was an avid Cubs fan and she also like to watch the Packers. Norma was a member of St. Stephen Evangelical Lutheran Church in Horicon and was a former member of the Ladies Guild.

Survivors include her daughters, Lindy (Terry) Lewis of Harpers Ferry, Iowa and Diane (Timothy) Miescke of Horicon; grandchildren, Tyra (Matthew) Walters of Waupun, Mindy (James) Branning of Weston, and Adam (Danielle Heintz) Miescke of Horicon; great grandchildren, Richard and Benjamin Walters, and Amanda Young; step great grandchildren, Kammara, Kassidy, and Jensen Branning; her sister, Ruby Davis of West Salem; sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Norma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Melvin in 2006; three sisters, Stella Darger, Zella Davis, and Edna Heilman; and four brothers, Orville, Clarence, Floyd, and Edward Baum.
