Palmer M. Miescke, age 88, died Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at his home in Horicon.
Memorial services for Palmer will be held at Kingdom Hall on Ollinger Road in Beaver Dam on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at 2:00 PM. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens in the Town of Trenton, Dodge County, Wisconsin on Friday, June 13, 2008 at 10:00 AM.
Palmer Marvin Miescke was born on March 11, 1920 in Horicon, Wisconsin to the late Edward Albert and Alma Ida (Lueck) Miescke. On October 11, 1941, he was united in marriage with Elvira Puls in Horicon. She preceded Palmer in death on December 19, 2002. Palmer served in the United States Navy during WWII. He worked as a sheet metal fabricator at John Deere Horicon Works for 27 years, retiring in the mid 1970”s. He was an avid Bible student and he loved to hunt and fish.
Survivors include two sons, Tom (Judith) Miescke of Beaver Dam and Timothy (Diane) Miescke of Horicon, two grandchildren, Mindy (Jim) Branning of Wausau and Adam Miescke of Horicon, four great grandchildren, Amanda Young, Kammara Branning, Kassidy Branning and Jaensen Branning. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and two brothers, Merlin and Lloyd.
