Patricia A. Hahn, age 75, of Hustisford, formerly of Reeseville, died Friday, November 29, 2013 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.
Visitation for Pat will be at the Murray Funeral Home, 716 Clinton Street in Horicon, on Friday, December 6, 2013 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM; a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7:00 PM. On Saturday, December 7, 2013, friends may also call at Trinity Lutheran Church, N2296 County Road I in Rural Reeseville, from 11:00 AM to 11:50 AM. Funeral services will follow at church on Saturday at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Matthew Martin officiating. Inurnment will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
The former Patricia Ann Soldner was born March 12, 1938 in Watertown, Wisconsin to the late Earl and Gertrude (Lau) Soldner. Following graduation from Waterloo High School in 1955, Pat furthered her education receiving a BA in Home Economics from Stout State College. On June 20, 1959, she was united in marriage with Harlan O. Hahn at Trinity Lutheran Church in Reeseville. Pat worked several jobs throughout her life including marketing editor at Nancy”s Notions in Beaver Dam, freelance reporter for Watertown Daily Times and Dodge County Independent News, teacher at Columbus High School and Hustisford High School, and teacher and center supervisor at Moraine Park Technical College. She had a passion for helping people and she lived this passion in the many ways she volunteered. Pat was a bible class and catechism teacher at Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was a member; she also served as a 4-H leader for over 40 years, served on the 4-H executive board, and served as the Dodge County Jr. Fair clothing superintendent. Pat”s hobbies included sewing, gardening and going to the farmer”s market.
Survivors include her husband, Harlan Hahn of Hustisford; three children, Beth (Eric Jaeger) Hahn of Muskego, Peter Hahn of Hustisford, and Craig (Kim) Hahn of Germantown; five grandchildren, Alex and Lydia Jaeger, and Stephen, Collin, and Lauren Hahn; her two sisters, Rose (Jerry) Schimke of Wisconsin Rapids and Nancy (Lloyd) Thompson of Waterloo; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pat was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Steven and Paul.
If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Patricia A. Hahn”s name to Dodge County 4-H Foundation, Lions Eye Bank, Trinity Cares, or Hustisford EMS.
The family would like to extend their thanks to the staffs at Froedtert Cancer Center and Hillside Hospice for the care and support they provided. Thanks to the numerous volunteers and visitors who came and spent time with Pat.
