Paul O. Koll, age 92, of Theresa passed away on January 3, 2019 at the St. Francis Home in Fond du Lac.A funeral service for Paul will take place on Tuesday, January 8 at 2 p.m. at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Theresa with the Rev. Jonathon Learman officiating. A visitation will take place Monday, January 7 from 5-7 p.m. at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Theresa and again on Tuesday, January 8from 12:30 – 2 p.m. at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Theresa. Burial will take place at Union Cemetery in Theresa. Military Honors will be conducted by the Miller Justman Guelig Theresa American Legion Post #270 and the Army Honor Guard.Paul was born the son of Nicholas and Manilla (Frings) Koll on July 18, 1926 in the Tn. of Theresa. He was united in marriage to Evangeline Martin on October 5, 1957 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Theresa. Paul was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean Conflict in the 45th Division Quarter Master from September 25, 1950 until September 12, 1952. Paul farmed in the township of Theresa and hauled milk for over 40 years for Widmer’s Cheese Cellars. He was a member of the Miller Justman Guelig Theresa American Legion Post #270. Paul was also a longtime member of the Theresa Fire Department. Faith played an important part in Paul’s life and he was an active member of St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church serving his church in many capacities. In his spare time Paul enjoyed reading and traveling with his wife. They traveled to Germany together as well as many states to visit his Army friends. They also enjoyed big band music.Paul is survived by his wife of 61 years- Evangeline of Theresa. His sons- Martin (Sharon) Koll of Fond du Lac and Brian (Lynn) Koll of Columbus. His grandchildren- Nicole (Michael) Gierach of Theresa, Ashley Koll of Oshkosh, BM2 Bradley Koll of San Diego, CA. His great grandchildren- Braeden and Piersen. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Paul was preceded in death by his parents, his son Darryl, his twin brother Leroy (Nancy) Koll, and sister Janette (Victor) Franke.In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Theresa.Special thanks to the St. Francis Home in Fond du Lac for their care shown to Paul and his family.
