Pearl V. Wavra of Mayville, Wisconsin, 88, passed away on Monday September 19, 2016 at St. Anne’s Salvatorian Campus in Milwaukee.A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 26, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the Mayville United Methodist Church, 301 Furnace Street, Mayville, WI, with Rev. AHyun Lee officiating. Friends may call beginning at 11 a.m. and the service will commence at 1 p.m. Burial will take place at Graceland Cemetery in Mayville. Pearl was born on January 17, 1928 in Lowell, the daughter of Edward and Rose (Koehler) Roth. She was a graduate of Beaver Dam High School. She was united in marriage to Wayne A. Wavra on November 2, 1947 in Lowell. She was employed as a drafting engineer at Metalcraft of Mayville until her retirement. She was a member of the Mayville United Methodist Church in Mayville where she was active in Bible Studies. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening, and cooking. She also loved to play golf and bridge. She will also be remembered as a talented watercolor artist. Travel was also important to Pearl as she traveled in Europe, Mexico, and on trips to various Islands.Pearl is survived by her son- Michael (Timothy A. Kraetsch) Wavra of Milwaukee. Daughter in law- Joni Boshard Wavra of Highlands, NC. Her grandchildren- Lynsi Wavra and Tyler (Rachel) Wavra. Her siblings- Marion Henke of Beaver Dam, Gloria Price of Waunakee, Rose Hornickle of Watertown, and Melvin Kohn of New Berlin.She was preceded in death by her parents, her step father Harlow Kohn, her husband Wayne, son John, and siblings Rosetta Sturm, Edward Roth, and Norma Cox. Heartfelt thanks to the staff of both the Regancy Senior Community in New Berlin and St. Anne’s Salvatorian Campus in Milwaukee for the care and support shown to Pearl over the past few years.
