Peter D. Phillips, age 50, of Columbus, died Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Columbus Community Hospital. My sympathy to Peter''s family; I know he''s going to be missed. Peter was in the first 5th grade class that I taught at Jefferson School in Beaver Dam. (I was also fortunate to teacher other members of the Phillips'' family over the years.) There was something special about Peter that always brought a smile to my face...even when he was getting into a bit of mischief. As the years went on, I''d frequently run into Peter--he always welcomed me warmly and shared a few words with me. He was a unique, warm-hearted guy who''ll be missed by all who knew him.
