Richard Douglas Tabb was born on February 8, 1938 in Detroit, Michigan to Warren and Maida (Huard) Tabb. On July 29, 1975, he was united in marriage with Patricia Paul. Dick worked as a fire explosion investigator in the Chicago area for many years, retiring in 1981, then moved to Beaver Dam. He was a loud and boisterous man but had a timid side to him as well. Some might say he was the barking dog with the wagging tail. Dick lived a full life and was satisfied by the little things. Anything and everything was always “SUPER!” to Dick. He was a member of the John E. Miller American Legion Post #146 and the BPOE Lodge # 1540 in Beaver Dam. The most important thing to Dick was his family and they will continue to miss him until they are all together again.
Dick is survived by his wife, “Sweet” Pat, his children, Kathy (Thomas) Bowman, Roselle, IL, Mike (Trisha) Raye, McHenry, IL, Debbie (Tom) Fagiano, Hanover Park, IL, Bob (Ann) Tabb, Beaver Dam, Kelly (Lee) Elliott, Interlochen, MI, Kelli (Jerry) Fabisch, Oshkosh, Mark Tabb, Beaver Dam, 18 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, mother, Maida Tabb, Laguna Hills, CA, brother, Jim Tabb, San Clemente, CA, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Warren.
