Visitation: A visitation will also be held on Monday, April 8th from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Columbus.
Richard O. Williams, 71, of Fall River, Wisconsin passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at his home.
Funeral Services for Dick will be held on Monday, April 8, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Koepsell-Zeidler Funeral Home in Columbus with the Rev. Denise Cole officiating. A visitation will also be held on Monday, April 8th from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Fall River Cemetery in Fall River, Wisconsin.
Richard was born on November 20, 1941 the son of Roger and Evelyn (Krueger) Williams in Beaver Dam. On July 22, 1973, he was united in marriage to Daisy Desjarlais in Columbus.
Dick was an avid hunter, fisherman, enjoyed small engine repairs, and was a jack of all trades. He began his career as a truck driver with Rautenberg Milk Haulers. He then drove semi for Bill Gorsuch, Duffy Brothers, IDO Feed and Supply and finally retired from Consolidated Freightways. He was also a fireman for Columbus Fire Department and Cambria Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife Daisy; his children: Jerome (Carla) Williams of Columbus, Dawn R. (Jim) Hayes of Columbus, Pamela (Roger) Baer of Florida, Dawn M. (Richard) Jones of Beaver Dam, Mike (Danielle) Williams of Fall River, Elizabeth (Jeff) Kilian of Columbus, and Wendy (Joe) Thomas of Columbus. His mother-in-law Beverly Desjarlais of Fall River; 25 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Patricia Moldenhauer of South Dakota, Shelby (DuWayne) Heller of Cambria, Beverly Draheim of Beaver Dam, Howard (Audrey) Williams of Randolph, Donald (Pamela) Williams of Doylestown, and Darlene (Lyle) McConochie of Cambria; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law Clifford Desjarlais and brother-in-law Pete Moldenhauer.
