“Rob” George R. Bauer, age 62, of Beaver Dam, died on Friday, September 14, 2018, at his home. The visitation will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Cremation will follow. George Robert Bauer was born on May 20, 1956 to George W. and Barbara (Brown) Bauer in Aurora, Illinois. After high school and some college, Rob played Fast Pitch Softball as a catcher, traveling all over the states. He was a dedicated Chicago sports fan, especially of the Cubs. Rob was an outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, hunting, and camping. He owned and operated Central Wisconsin Services in Edgar, WI. For the past several years he managed the Village Glenn Apartments in Beaver Dam. Rob was committed to tenants at Village Glenn and to the community. Rob is missed by his children, Nathan (Jaime) Bauer, and Jennifer (Christopher) Lehman; his fiancée and her family, Lynn Alfson; his mother, Barb Bauer; grandchildren, Anders Bauer, Dustin Bauer, Devyn Bauer, Nicholas Lehman, and Noah Lehman; brothers and sisters, Tom (Kim) Bauer, Tim Bauer, Mike Bauer, Kristi Bauer Stoltz, Pam Bauer Wanta, and Laura (Terry) Reeves; his former wives, Sharon Bauer and Cheryl Bauer; nieces and nephews; many cousins; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his dad; and his younger brother, Greg.
