“Rob” George R. Bauer, age 62, of Beaver Dam, died on Friday, September 14, 2018, at his home. The visitation will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Cremation will follow. George Robert Bauer was born on May 20, 1956 to George W. and Barbara (Brown) Bauer in Aurora, Illinois. After high school and some college, Rob played Fast Pitch Softball as a catcher, traveling all over the states. He was a dedicated Chicago sports fan, especially of the Cubs. Rob was an outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, hunting, and camping. He owned and operated Central Wisconsin Services in Edgar, WI. For the past several years he managed the Village Glenn Apartments in Beaver Dam. Rob was committed to tenants at Village Glenn and to the community. Rob is missed by his children, Nathan (Jaime) Bauer, and Jennifer (Christopher) Lehman; his fiancée and her family, Lynn Alfson; his mother, Barb Bauer; grandchildren, Anders Bauer, Dustin Bauer, Devyn Bauer, Nicholas Lehman, and Noah Lehman; brothers and sisters, Tom (Kim) Bauer, Tim Bauer, Mike Bauer, Kristi Bauer Stoltz, Pam Bauer Wanta, and Laura (Terry) Reeves; his former wives, Sharon Bauer and Cheryl Bauer; nieces and nephews; many cousins; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his dad; and his younger brother, Greg.

We are so sorry for your loss. You have our deepest condolences. We've only known Rob for a year, but he was always friendly and listened to any concerns we had.

My thoughts and prayers to your family. It is difficult to lose someone you love. Rob could always make a person smile. Rob always loved it when I came for a visit because I would cook for him so had noodles and corn for supper last night.

So sorry to hear of Rob passing away. He was a very kind and friendly apartment manager. Always there when you needed something fixed no matter what time it was. He will be greatly missed in the community and in the apartment complex. May he rest in peace.

As a tenant of Village Glenn for over four years I personally experienced Robs kindness and quality of service. I also appreciated the waving of has hand and his shouted good morning as he road his golf cart on his maintenance rounds. I remember Rob as a great friend and co-worker at his uncle Jacks (Gardner Products) we continued as friends even after he moved back to Wisconsin. He was always lots of fun. He will be missed. I am sorry I missed stopping in for a visit as I have been in Beaver Dam on many occasions. God bless all his family and may God give you his peace.

I'm sorry for your loss. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers. We have known Rob and Lynn for almost 4 years. They gave us our first home after we moved back to Wisconsin.

I met Rob when I was a tenant at Village Glen Apartments. I enjoyed his friendly personality, wonderful smile and his "Johnny-on-the-spot" attention given to any issues within the apartment and grounds. I'm sad to learn of his death. It is a great loss to his family and the tenants at Village Glen. God's blessings and consolation to his family and friends. RIP Rob
