Robert A. Schoenberger, age 86, of Beaver Dam, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.
Visitation for Bob will be held on Friday, September 28, 2012 at Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM with a short prayer service to follow at 6:00 PM. There will also be a visitation on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at St. Katharine Drexel Church, 511 S. Spring St., in Beaver Dam from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Saturday at the church at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at St. Peter”s Cemetery in Beaver Dam with military honors provided by the John E. Miller American Legion Post #146
Robert Albert Schoenberger was born on April 30, 1926 to Albert and Estelle (Peirick) Schoenberger in Beaver Dam. He served his country during World War II as a member of the US Army from 1945-1947. On July 2, 1949, he was united in marriage with Myrtle Krezinski at St. Michael”s Catholic Church in Beaver Dam. Bob worked at Metal Fab in Beaver Dam for 36 years and he also worked on the family farm near Leipsig for many years. He was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, the John E. Miller American Legion Post #146 in Beaver Dam, and the Clarence Keske VFW Post #1163 in Beaver Dam.
Bob was the father of Kristine (David) Schumann, Sr. of Beaver Dam, Tom (Sandy) Schoenberger of Beaver Dam, Jerry (Vickie) Schoenberger of Peru, IN, John (Lorrie) Schoenberger of Beaver Dam, Linda (Michael) Daane of Beaver Dam, and Joe (Cyndi) Schoenberger of Beaver Dam, proud grandfather of, Dave (Shelly) Schumann, Jr., Melissa Kempfer (FiancAC., Sean Tierney), David (Cathy) Schoenberger, and Cindy (Kory) Koltz, all of Beaver Dam, Patrick Schoenberger (FiancAC.e, Brittainey Neese), and Heather Schoenberger, both of Indiana, Justin Schoenberger, Lindsey Schoenberger, Michaela Daane, Kaitlin Daane, and Chelsey Schoenberger, all of Beaver Dam. Other survivors include his six great grandchildren, Taylor Schumann, Dylan, Jessica, and Ashley Koltz, and Zachary, Abigail Schoenberger, and Joseph Tierney, two great-great grandchildren, Raegan Koltz and Jackson Koltz, his brother, Larry (Kathy) Schoenberger of Waukesha, two brothers-in-law, Phillip (Angie) Krezinski and Nicholas (Marlene) Krezinski, both of Beaver Dam, nieces, nephews and loyal companion, Shadow. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Myrtle on March 7, 2010, his sisters, Marge Schroeder and Katherine Laudenbach, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Nicholas and Gertrude (Soda) Krezinski, three brothers-in-law, Willard Marks, Louis Laudenbach, and Loie Schroeder, and a great-great grandson, Hunter Koltz.
The family suggests that memorials be made in Robert A. Schoenberger”s name to the ARC of Dodge County Endowment Fund, PO Box 173, Beaver Dam, WI, 53916.
