December 22, 1944 - March 20, 2013

Robert D. Paar, age 68, of Reeseville, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at St. Mary”s Hospital in Madison.

Visitation for Robert will be at the Murray Funeral Home, 214 S. Main Street in Reeseville, on Monday, March 25, 2013 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home on Monday at 7:00 PM with Rev. Donald Steinberg officiating. Burial will be at Medina Cemetery in Marshall on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 10:30 AM.

Robert Dennis Paar was born on December 22, 1944 in Columbus, Wisconsin to the late Norbert and Leona (Coles) Paar. On September 29, 1979, he was united in marriage with Barbara Miescher at the United Church of Christ in Lowell. Bob farmed throughout his entire life starting as a boy helping his dad and continued through his adult life; he also worked at John Deere Horicon Works, retiring after 30 years of service. Bob enjoyed fishing and hunting with his family, especially with his brother before his death in 2011. Bob was a family man that absolutely loved his grandchildren and his face would light-up when they would visit.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Paar of Reeseville; five children, Keith Paar, Tina (Don) Gregory, Robert (Shelli) Paar, Jr., Greg (Shallon) Paar, and Dawn (Kevin) Borth; seven grandchildren, Nick Paar, Shawn Gregory, Hunter, Aubrey and Amelia Paar, and Harmony and Hudson Henschel; mother-in-law, Sally Miescher; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, George (Pamela) Miescher, Patricia (Dave) Kopplin, Margaret (John) Schmidt, and Marlene (Jay) Peeper; other relatives and friends. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; brother and best friend, Darrell Paar; and his father-in-law, Fred Miescher

If desired, memorials may be made in Robert Paar”s name to the charity of one”s choice.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Phelan and to St. Mary”s Hospital, as well as, the staffs at Hillside HomeCare and Columbus Hospital.
