Father Berghammer was a wonderful friend to our family while he served at Presentation Parish. My parents stayed in touch with Father over the years and would occasionally take him out for lunch at Suzy's in Lomira. Sadly my mother passed away in late December. We asked Father to officiate and of course he said yes, what time? He was still full of questions, his mind as sharp as ever! He will be greatly missed by my family and many more besides. May your soul rest in peace in the loving arms or our Lord and Savior. Colleen Gouin and the Joseph Mark Family

We will always remember Father Berghammer as a wonderful priest at Presentation Parish. He was there for most of my grade school years there. For the past couple of years we would send a Christmas card he would usually send one back telling of his adventures of the past year. It was enjoyable reading his letter every year. May he rest in peace and God bless him for all the lives he has touched in his life including our family.

I will always remember Father Berghammer's religion classes at Messmer - his faith (and his red hair) added to his passion for God and moral values. He wrote a wonderful letter to our class for our 50th graduation reunion in September, 2014. I also saw him when he attended a funeral wake for a fellow priest, Father Paul Weishar. We had a wonderful visit, and his blessing extended to all our class. May he rest in peace and enjoy the fruits of his labor in the Vineyard of the Lord.

I will never forget Father Berghammer, he was my priest at Messmer High School from 1960 to 1964. He was wise, caring, understanding. Fr. Berghanner helped guide and shape many teenage students lives. He always had time to talk, discuss and most times solved any problems or made sence of any confusion we had in our lives. I was one of those students and I have never forgotten his words of wisdom to me. Thank you Father. God bless you Father Berghammer, may you be rewarded in Heaven for all you gave of yourself and to others on earth. I was so happy that we reconnected and corresponded over the last year, I looked so forward to your letters. Rest in peace with our Lord.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Father Berghammer touched the lives of many people, including my own. I will remember him for his kindness, compassion, wit, and sharing the Word of God. May I be as good a witness to our faith.

My teen years profited from Fr. Robert Berghammer's religion class at Divine Savior High School on 35th & Center St. At our 50th class reunion, many of us thanked him in person for his valuable religion instructions. A few years ago my husband Jerry and I attended his 8 A.M. weekday Mass at St. Andrews. It was a pleasure visiting with him after Mass. His mind and sense of humor were still very sharp last year when I received his final Christmas letter. Hopefully, he is having a great time fishing with our Lord in heaven. My sympathy to all his relatives and dear friends. Mary Ann Bink (DS'52) Cedarburg, WI

I noticed Fr. Berghammer has several family members in the Austin/Kyle Texas area. I would love for them to know the positive impact he had on me during my Catholic school days. He was my favorite priest. All the others couldn't hold a candle to him.

The Schwabenlenders have many memories of Fr. Berghammer. From my than 13 year old father's first meeting of him at St Anne's in 1950 or 1951 to the time when I was growing up in the late 1970's/early 1980's and my brother, Mom & Dad went to visit him at his cabin which didn't yet of indoor plumbing. He also came for dinner often and would always called me "Cap" and would lift my brother up so that his head would touch the ceiling. (That was before he grew to be 6'4".) We looked forward every Christmas to his wonderful letter. The last one was received this past Christmas. He will be greatly missed by us all.

Father Berghammer was a great pastor at Holy Trinity/St. Bridget's in Kewaskum. He visited the classrooms at Holy Trintiy School each week. In the Second Grade he taught the First Communion students by drawing his stick men. When the students went in for their interview with Father, he reviewed by drawing. Our children have saved those drawing. I visited Father Berghammer a month ago and we had a great conversation talking about his time at Kewaskum. What a great memory he had. He was just one special priest. Ann Neumann
