Robert V. “Buckwheat” Rennhack, 70, of Beaver Dam, formerly of Lowell, went to be with his Lord surrounded by his family on Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam
Family and friends may call at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Reeseville on Saturday, November 3, 2007 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. Funeral services will follow at church on Saturday, beginning at 12:00 Noon. Rev. Don Steinberg will officiate. Burial will be at the Lowell Cemetery.
Robert Victor Benedict Rennhack was born on March 21, 1937 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to the late Roy and Ruth (Klentz) Rennhack. On November 12, 1987, he was united in marriage with Gloria. Robert was the founder and co-owner of Rennhack Construction for over 30 years. He had also owned Helbing”s Supper Club and had worked part-time as a Dodge County Sheriff”s Deputy. Buckwheat enjoyed ice fishing, sturgeon fishing, gardening, watching tractor pulls and “touring Dodge County. At one time, he enjoyed driving stock cars at the Beaver Dam Raceway Park. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Reeseville, a founding member of the Seven Hills Skydiving Club and a past member of the Lowell-Reeseville Lions.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Rennhack of Beaver Dam, three children, Carole “Tunie” (Darvin) Seibert of Beaver Dam, Serene (Chris) Seufzer of Lowell, Darrell Rennhack of Lowell, a daughter-in-law, Bonny Rennhack of Beaver Dam, 15 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, two step children, Edward (Debbie) DeClue of Oconomowoc and Shawn DeClue of Beaver Dam, eight brothers and sisters, Lola (Sherwood) Muenchow of Beaver Dam, Yvonne (George) Strohbush of Beaver Dam, Howard (Mary) Rennhack of Humbird, Joanne Stone of Beaver Dam, David (Bonney) Rennhack of Lowell, Karen (Richard) Klomsten of Fox Lake, Sandra Helmbrecht of Fox Lake, Victor (Debbie) Rennhack of Beaver Dam, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Dale “Putz” Rennhack in 1994, four brothers, Junior Rennhack, Ralph Rennhack, Donald Rennhack, and Raymond Rennhack, and a sister, Ethel McMillian.
The family suggests that memorials be made in Robert V. Rennhack”s name to Immanuel Lutheran Church, 210 Lincoln Avenue, Reeseville 53579.
