Rev. Robert W. Clazmer

Robert W. Clazmer, age 76, of Beaver Dam, died Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the Beaver Dam Community Hospital.

Visitation for Bob will be at the Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home on Wednesday, beginning at 2:00 PM. Seminarian Enrique Hernandez will officiate. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in the Town of Beaver Dam, Dodge County, Wisconsin.

Robert Wendell Clazmer was born on November 17, 1933 in Racine, Wisconsin to the late Harry and Stella (Betko) Clazmer. He graduated from Racine Park High School in 1951. On July 7, 1956, he was united in marriage with Mary Anne Lentz at St. Louis Church in Caledonia, Wisconsin. Bob worked in the maintenance department at the Fall River School District for 22 years. He loved all sports and was a life-long fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Wisconsin Badgers. Bob also had fond memories of starting the Babe Ruth Baseball Program in Fall River and the young men he coached. He enjoyed fishing, especially the trips to Canada, and also baking and cooking with his granddaughter Nicole. Bob loved building model airplanes and ships and he also enjoyed building crafts from wood. One of the things that brought him the most joy was family gatherings and playing “Polish Poker”; it didn”t matter the season of the year or why they were getting together. He loved his family and he always looked forward to spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Anne Clazmer; his daughter, Michele (Dave) Wolff and their children Matt and Amanda (Daniel), his son, Dave (Silvina) Clazmer and their son Tyler, and his daughter, Gloria (Lee) Smith and their children Nicholas and Nicole; his granddaughter, Aimee and her children, Damien and Olivia. Bob is further survived by his brother, Thomas (Dolores) Clazmer; his sister, Patricia (Perry) Paragamian; his sisters-in-law, Doris and Martha Clazmer; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Carol Lentz, Raymond (Millie) Lentz, James (Judith) Lentz, Marlene (James) Nierenberger, and Gerald Lentz, along with other relatives and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his son, Steven Clazmer on March 26, 2009; his parents; his brothers, Eugene, Richard and Clarence; his sister, Lorraine; his sister-in-law, Jean Clazmer; and his brother-in-law, Robert Lentz.
