Roger Arnold Bauer

January 20, 1930 - January 26, 2009

Roger A. Bauer, age 79, of Beaver Dam, died on Monday, January 26, 2009 at the Mayville Nursing and Rehab Center.

The memorial gathering for Roger will be on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam from1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. The memorial service will follow on Saturday at the funeral home at 2:00 PM with Rev. Bob Castro officiating. Inurnment will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Town of Beaver Dam, Dodge County, Wisconsin.

Roger Arnold Bauer was born January 20, 1930 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to Arnold Anthony and Dora Alma (Indermuehle) Bauer. Roger attended St. Peter”s Catholic School and was a 1948 graduate of Beaver Dam High School. On June 4, 1955 he was united in marriage with Marilyn Eileen Jackson in Medford, Wisconsin. Roger worked as a salesman for several different retail companies in Beaver Dam which include Quandt”s Paint Store, Briese”s Home Furnishings and Worden”s Upholstery. He liked to play Sheepshead and Cribbage with Marilyn and also looked forward to watching his great granddaughter each week.

Roger is survived by his wife, Marilyn of Beaver Dam, children, Bonnie (Jan) Van de Weghe, Sheboygan, Gail (Bruce) Ferstl, Beaver Dam, and Terry (Deborah) Bauer, Burnett, five grandchildren, Rebecca (Shawn) Wroblewski, Hartford, Aaron Pundsack, Appleton, Craig (Holly) Ferstl, Beaver Dam, Michelle (fiancAC., Matt Stephens) Ferstl, Beaver Dam, and Cassandra Bauer, Burnett, great grandchildren, Alyson Ferstl and Konor Wroblewski, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family suggests that memorials be made in Roger”s name to St. John”s Christ Care, 1209 W. Circle Dr., Beaver Dam, WI, 53916.
