Roland F. Strege, age 61, died on Thursday, September 11, 2008, at his home in Black River Falls.

A memorial gathering will take place at the Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Sunday, September 21, 2008 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM. Cremation has taken place.

Roland Fred Strege was born on August 23, 1947 in Wisconsin, to the late Roland and Shirley (Rechlin) Strege. He worked for many years at Robbins Manufacturing in Fall River. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. Roland looked forward to this upcoming hunting season with his grandson Jeffrey. He enjoyed his time spent with his family and he will be missed by all of them.

Survivors are his children, Nikki (Guillermo Escamilla) Strege, of Beaver Dam, Roland Strege, Jr., of Sun Prairie, and Eugene Strege, also of Sun Prairie, his three grandchildren, Erica and Jeffrey Navarro, both of Beaver Dam, and Roland Strege, III, of Sun Prairie, a brother, Darrell Strege, of Jefferson, a sister, Alma Chwala, of Marshall, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
