Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 29th at 1p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville, with the Rev. Fr. Tom Biersack presiding.
Visitation: Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 29th from 11:00 a.m – 1:00 p.m. at the church.
Rose E. Braun, age 83, of Lomira, WI, formerly of Mayville, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Hope Assisted Living in Lomira.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 29th at 1p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville, with the Rev. Fr. Tom Biersack presiding. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 29th from 11:00 a.m – 1:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will take place at St. Mary Cemetery in Mayville, WI.
Rose was born the daughter of Phillip & Adelia (Oechsner) Liegl on May 29, 1930 in LeRoy, WI. She was united in marriage to Ralph A. Braun on November 3, 1951 in Mayville at St. Mary Catholic Church. She retired from Mayville Metal after 27 years. She was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville. Rose was a member of the Mayville American Legion Auxiliary. She was a house mother to the girls of the Dodge County Teachers College for 11 years. In her spare time, Rose enjoyed sewing, quilting, making calendars, and bingo. She also loved feeding and watching birds, especially the cardinals. Most of all, Rose loved the time she had with her grandchildren.
Rose is survived by: her children- Diane Anderson of Mayville, Debbie (Allen) Wondra of LeRoy, Dennis (Catherine) Braun of Mayville, and David (Tricia) Braun of Jefferson. Her 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Her siblings- Dorothy Stortz of Mayville, Lavern Priest of Lomira, Rite Giese of Neda, and Lucille Theusch of West Bend. Further survived by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2007, and her 8 siblings.
