Rose M. Gerber

Rose M. Gerber, 71, of Beaver Dam, and previously of Columbus, passed away on Monday, November 26, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. Visitation for Rose will take place on Monday, December 3rd from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Wilke officiating. Inurnment will take place at Highland Memory Gardens at a later date. Rose was born on May 30, 1947 to Walter and Betty (Franklin) Otto in Beloit, Wisconsin. She was united in marriage on February 27, 1970 to Philip Gerber in Beaver Dam. Rose worked as a nurse for the Columbus Hospital and for the Columbus Nursing Home. She was a member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church in Columbus. She enjoyed doing puzzles, playing bingo, and taking bus trips to casinos. But mostly Rose loved spending the holidays and time with her family. She will be missed by her husband Phillip, daughters; Shawn (Chad) Laehr of Watertown and Darcy Gerber of Salt Lake City, UT, grandchildren; Jeffrey Lindert of Beaver Dam, Nick Lindert of Beaver Dam, Megan Lindert of Madison, Emily Radke of Columbus and Eric Radke of Columbus, and her sister and brother; Mary Pieper and Louis Otto both of Beaver Dam. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. Rose was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Michael and Walter Jr., and sister; Louise “Sissy” Otto. If desired, memorials may be directed to Zion Ev. Lutheran Church in Columbus.
