Rosemary A, Wedel, age 74, died Saturday, November 29, 2008 at her home in the Town of Calamus, Dodge County, Wisconsin.
Visitation for Rosemary will be at the Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, 127 W. Maple Avenue in Beaver Dam, on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at church on Wednesday, beginning at 11:00 AM. Fr. John Schreiter will officiate. Burial will be at St. Michael”s Cemetery in the Town of Beaver Dam.
The former Rosemary Ann Hepp was born on July 4, 1934 in the Town of Westford, Dodge County, Wisconsin to the late George and Loretta (Mlodzik) Hepp. She graduated from Randolph High School in 1952 as Salutatorian of her class. On June 19, 1954, Rosemary was united in marriage with John Wedel at St. Mary”s Catholic Church in Lost Lake. She loved to be outdoors as she farmed with her husband for many years and as she cared for her beautiful flower gardens. Rosemary enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren. She knew everyone”s favorite food and would prepare it for dinner when they visited. She loved to fish and enjoyed their trips to Minocqua. Rosemary was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, John Wedel of Beaver Dam, four children, David (Yolanda) Wedel of Lake in the Hills, IL, Donald (Patrice) Wedel of Beaver Dam, Christine (Charles) Fisher of Constantine, MI, and John J. (Christine) Wedel of Baraboo, eleven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, six step grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Philip Hepp.
The family suggests that memorials be made in Rosemary A. Wedel”s name to Hillside Hospice or St. Katharine Drexel Parish.
