Rosetta W. Sturm, age 87, formerly of Beaver Dam, died on Friday, November 6, 2009 at her home in Sunnyvale, CA, after an extended illness.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at St. Katharine Drexel Parish, 511 S. Spring St., in Beaver Dam from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. The Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Saturday at the church at 11:00 AM with Fr. John Schreiter officiating. Inurnment will be at St. Peter”s Cemetery in Beaver Dam, following the Mass.
The former Rosetta Wilhelmina Roth was born on July 10, 1922 to Edward and Rose (Koehler) Roth in Lowell, Wisconsin. She was united in marriage to Albert W. Sturm on April 19, 1941 at St. Peter”s Church in Beaver Dam. While living in Beaver Dam, Rosetta worked as a clerk at Cloyds and Woolworth”s as well as at Green Giant. After moving to Sunnyvale, California in 1978, she worked at Teledyne in Mountain View, making electronic chips and later worked part-time at De La Cruz Deli in Sunnyvale, until the age of 84. Rosetta had taste for simplicity and love for flowering gardens. She will be missed.
Survivors are her husband, Albert, Sunnyvale, CA, her two sons, Albert H. (Priscilla) Sturm, Mountain View, CA, and Larry A. (Geneil) Sturm, Mulkilteo, WA, former daughter-in-law, Sandra Little Sturm, Everett, WA, grandchildren, Michelle (Brandon) Castillo, Des Moines, WA, Christopher Sturm, Everett, WA and Maddison Sturm, Mulkilteo, WA, Matthew Sturm, Los Altos, CA, and Anne Sturm, Mountain View, CA, sisters, Marian Henke, Beaver Dam, Pearl Wavra, Mayville, and Gloria (Phillip) Price, Henderson, TX, brother, Edward Roth, Sheboygan, half-sister, Rose (Tom) Hornickle, Watertown, step-sister, Norma Cox, Randolph, and step-brother, Melvin (Joyce) Kohn, Tampa, FL, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her step-father, Harlow Kohn.
