Russell H. Schultz, age 97, of Horicon passed away on Monday, September 14, 2015 at Matthew’s of Horicon.Funeral services for Russell will take place on Friday, September 18 at 12 (noon) at St. Stephen Lutheran Church with the Rev. Daniel Seehafer officiating. A visitation will be at St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Horicon on Friday, September 18 from 11:00 AM until 11:50 AM. A luncheon will be held at the church immediately following the service. Burial will take place following the luncheon on Friday at Riverside Cemetery in Fox Lake at 2:00 PM.Russell was born the son of Albert W. and Agnes (Knorr) Schultz on September 6, 1918 in Horicon. He was a graduate of Fox Lake High School in 1937. He was united in marriage to Norma Mae Schlaitzer on June 8, 1941 at St. John’s in Fox Lake. He worked for National Rivet in Waupun from 1941 until he retired in 1981. He was also the secretary treasurer of the Machinist Union Local 1516 for over 30 years. While in Fox Lake he was a member of the Fox Lake Historical Society and a volunteer at the Fox Lake Library. Russell was also active in his church, at St. John’s in Fox Lake he was a past Sunday School Superintendent, usher, and served 3 terms as the treasurer. After they moved to Horicon Russell and Norma joined St. Stephen in Horicon.Russell is survived by his children- Jean Marie (David) Przekurat of Wild Rose and David (Karla) Schultz of DePere; grandchildren- Dianne (Greg) Bolstad, Deborah (Brad) Arndt, Denise Przekurat, Donna (Brian) Braun, Laura (Blair) Gruman, and Jessika Schultz; six great grandchildren- Ashley Przekurat, Adam (Leah) Bolstad, David (Nicole) Arndt, Nick Braun, Marissa Braun, and Porter Gruman. Great great granddaughter- Ashlynne Arndt. Brother in law- Maurice (Joan) Bobholz. Sisters in law- Joan Vieux and Bettie Lienhard. Further survived by several step great and great great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 72 years Norma, brother Dwain, and sister Eunice Bobholz, brothers in law- Loran Lienhard, Delbert Schlaitzer, and nephew Dan Bobholz.Memorials may be directed to St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, Agnesian Hospice Hope, or the charity of one’s choice.Special thanks to the staff of Matthews of Horicon, Agnesian Hospice Hope for the loving care given to both our Mother and Father.
