Sammuel P. Garcia, age 18, of Beaver Dam, died on Monday, November 26, 2012 at UW Children”s Hospital in Madison, after a long and courageous battle with lukemia.
The memorial gathering will be at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church in Beaver Dam on Saturday, December 1, 2012 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at the church on Saturday with Fr. Mike Erwin officiating.
Sammuel Philip Garcia was born on June 6, 1994 to Adrian and Sherry (Simono) Garcia. He attended the Cambria-Friesland School District until his health no longer allowed him to. The help of the supportive and caring teachers and staff helped Sam to make it as far as he could and continued to help encourage him to get better so he could get his G.E.D. Sam loved his family so much and cherished every second that he had with them, whether it was playing football or videogames or watching a Sunday afternoon Packer game. He had a special bond with his siblings and parents that even death cannot break.
Sammuel is survived by his parents, Adrian and Sherry; brothers and sister, Benjamin S., Rebecca, and Adrian “A.J.”, all of Beaver Dam; his grandparents, Silverio and Susan Garcia of Milwaukee, and Sue and Philip Simono of Winter; half-brother, Corey W. Garcia of South Milwaukee; Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends.
