Sarah F. Johnson

September 11, 1939 - May 19, 2014

Sarah Frances Johnson, 74 years old, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2014 at Hillside Manor, Beaver Dam, following a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 23 at 1:30 p.m. at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Horicon, with the Chaplain Dennis Richards officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 24th from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Horicon.

Sarah was born on September 11, 1939, the daughter of George and Lois (Radke) Ulmer in Horicon, WI. Her father George owned and operated the Horicon Furniture Store and the Ulmer Funeral Home for many years.

After graduating from Horicon High School in 1957, Sarah attended the University of Wisconsin Madison for two years before transferring to Northwestern University, where she was a 1961 graduate. Sarah had remarkable singing and acting talents and she performed in numerous musicals in both high school and college.

For many years, Sarah lived in Los Angeles, CA and worked in advertising, first with retail stores where she also coordinated many high-end fashion shows

Dear Fran and family, I was sorry to hear of Sarah''s passing. I have a lot of good memories of the big white house and being neighbors. I will keep Sarah in my prayers. My sincere condolences, Edward

I will always remember the fun times Sarah and I had in high school, California and back in Wi. She had such a great sense of humor and we would laugh endlessly over the silliest things -- such as the Chemex Coffee Maker, or the card that ended with "I think I saw Hitler yesterday!" Condolences to Chuck, Fran and family. I know you will miss her as much as I will. Rest in Peace Sarah.

I was so sorry to hear about Sara passing away. We have been traveling & I just found our. My thoughts are with you. I remember Sarah as a very talented pretty person. We were never really close as classmates, but at times we got together & had some special moments. Wish she could have made it to some of our class reunions. She was missed. Take care of yourselves. I was so sorry to learn that Sarah had passed away and wanted to send my sympathy to her family. Fran, I don''t know if you remember me but Sarah was a classmate. a neighbor and a friend. I have many fond memories of walking to school with her and all of our adventures together. May your memories comfort you at this sad time.
