Sharon A. Voigt

October 8, 1933 - March 9, 2009

Sharon A. Voigt, age 75, of Waupun and formerly of Beaver Dam, died on Monday, March 9, 2009 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. She had been a resident of Waupun Christian Home for the past ten months. She will be remembered for her personality and happy nature.

The visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2009 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. The funeral service will follow on Thursday at the church at 11:00 AM with Rev. Kurtis Mau officiating. Entombment will be at Highland Memory Gardens, Town of Trenton, Dodge County, Wisconsin.

Sharon was born on October 8, 1933 in Dodge County, the daughter of Fred and Ruth (Peters) Kuhnke. They moved to Beaver Dam and Sharon graduated from Beaver Dam High School. On August 1, 1953, she married Roland Voigt in Beaver Dam. Following their marriage the couple resided in Beaver Dam where they farmed for many years. After farming, Sharon worked at several jobs she enjoyed, Finlay Industries in Beaver Dam, Aunt Nellie”s in Clyman, and Fleet Farm in Beaver Dam. After retirement they resided in Fox Lake and Waupun.

Survivors are her husband, Roland Voigt, Waupun, children, Thomas (Susan) Voigt, Beaver Dam, Randy (Deb) Voigt, Beaver Dam, and Karen (Dick) Plath, Cambria, nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Lois Benike, daughter, Diane Voigt, and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Merlin and Viola Voigt.
