Shirley “Ma” Contois, age 72, died on Tuesday, February 2, 2010, at her home in Oak Grove.
The visitation will be at Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Saturday, February 6, 2010 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM. The Celebration of Life service will follow at the funeral home on Saturday at 3:00 PM. John R. Leiting will be the Celebrant.
Shirley Ann Stoviak was born on May 8, 1937 in Oconto Falls, Wisconsin to John and Adeline (Milheiser) Stoviak. She was a factory worker at Chrysler in Hartford for many years before becoming the owner and operator of Ma”s Bar in Oak Grove. Ma enjoyed playing cribbage and dice with her extended “family” at the bar and she enjoyed her occasional gambling trips with her sisters.
Survivors are her children, Vickie (Kenneth) Keller, Lomira, Jean Cears, Beaver Dam, and Ronald (Dawn) Bloomer, Slinger, grandchildren, Aaron Keller and Anissa Keller, Jacob Kalmus and Benjamin Kalmus, and Tyler Bloomer and Dylan Bloomer, great grandchildren, Levi, Jaydan, Jacob Jr. and Elizabeth, brothers and sisters, Barbara Hartman, Jack (Carol) Stoviak, Carol Jean (James) Anderson, Louis (Jean) Stoviak, Lynne (Mike) Schulenberg, and Kenneth (Anita) Stoviak, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Kenneth Bloomer, son-in-law, Robert Cears, and infant twin granddaughters, Miranda and Muriah.
