Shirley E. Hegge, age 84, formerly of Beaver Dam, died on Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center in Madison.
Friends and family may call on Saturday, August 18, 2007, at St. Katharine Drexel Church, 127 W. Maple Avenue in Beaver Dam, from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation on Saturday at 11:00 AM. Fr. John Schreiter will officiate. Burial will be at St. Patrick”s Cemetery in the Town of Beaver Dam, Dodge County, Wisconsin.
The former Shirley Elaine Parsons was born on December 8, 1922, in Fordyce, NE, the daughter of Hugh and Pearl (Shippy) Parsons. On November 14, 1939, she was united in marriage with Alphonse Hegge in Crofton, NE.
Shirley is a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish and a past member of the Christian Women of St. Patrick”s Catholic Church. She worked at American Packaging in Columbus for many years.
Survivors include her three sons, Gary (Mary) Hegge of Eagle River, Daniel (Cheryl) Hegge of Columbus and Steven (Lynn) Hegge of Sun Prairie, her 12 grandchildren, her 10 great grandchildren, her brother, Robert (Norma) Parsons of Casper, WY, her two sisters, Vivian Bruder of Crofton, NE. and Virginia Hageman of Columbus, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Alphonse on April 20, 1998, her daughter, Janice Wilcox, her infant daughter, Judy and her brother Curt Parsons.
