Shirley Jean (Wagner) Scola, age 90, formerly of Mayville, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2018 at Maple Meadows Assisted Living of Fond du lac surrounded by family.Shirley was born on October 18, 1927 in Knowles, WI to Bell and William Wagner. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Norman Scola on October 16, 1950. Shirley and Norm were house flippers, before the term was coined, 23 in all. Although she lived in numerous places, she always thought of the Mayville area as home. Shirley was an amazing baker of pies, loved sunsets and going on long rides enjoyed a good game of checkers. Throughout her life, Shirley held many positions, but above all she was a loving wife and mother. Shirley is survived by her sons; Larry (Verna) of Green Valley, AZ; Robert (Sheri) of Cascade, WI; William (Cathy) of Two Rivers; Mike of Fond du Lac; Tom (Sandy) of Lodi; daughter Lisa of Fond du Lac; grandchildren Tammy (Dan) Calendar; Sam Scola; Eric (Danielle) Scola; Michelle Brantley; Alexandra Scola; Dominic Scola; Sydney Scola; great grandchildren Cassie and Logan Felbab; Taylor (Malorie) Ross; Haeli (Shawn) Scola; Jacob and Nyomi Brantley; great great grandchildren Asher Ross. Her sisters in law; Olga Lavarda of Coleman and Fern Wagner of Mayville; brother in law Arthur Ludwig of Campbellsport. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Norman and brothers Jerry, Lawrence, William and Edward and sisters Vi, Katie, Arlene and Bernice.A celebration of Shirley’s life will take place on Friday, May 25, 2018 at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville from 3-5 p.m. Inurnment will take place at Ledgeview Memorial Park in Fond du Lac.Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
