Stella A. King

Stella A. King, age 86, of Beaver Dam, died on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac.

The visitation will be at Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Saturday, September 11, 2010 from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at the funeral home on Saturday at 1:00 PM with Fr. Michael L. Wild officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter”s Cemetery, Town of Beaver Dam, Dodge County, Wisconsin.

The former Stella A. Lucassie was born on September 27, 1923 in Alliance, Nebraska. She was united in marriage with Leonard R. King on June 25, 1923 in Beaver Dam. Stella worked for Wisconsin Bell, or as she referred to it, “Ma Bell”, for many years starting out as an operator. Her dedication prevailed and she quickly became a manger. Stella loved big dogs and was able to purchase many throughout her life.

Survivors are her children, Leonard J. King, Jr. of King, and Robert L. (Bonnie) King of Rosendale, three grandchildren, Stephanie King (FiancAC., Kenny Olson), Gregory (Mary Jo) King, and Staci (Chad) Sabel, six great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Marie Gunderson, and her husband Leonard in 1990.

The family suggests that memorials be made in Stella”s name to Hospice Home of Hope, 400 Hwy K, Fond du Lac, WI, 54937.
