Stella D. Albert, age 97, of Iron Ridge died on Friday, June 3, 2016 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 8 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church in Iron Ridge with the Rev. Larry Mose officiating. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 8 from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service at 2:30 p.m. at the church. Burial will take place at St. Matthew’s Cemetery in Iron Ridge.Stella was born on August 30, 1918 to John and Meta (Faber) Jung in the township of Ashford, Fond du Lac County, WI. She was baptized and confirmed at Salem United Church of Christ in Wayne, WI. She married Hubert H. Albert on May 2, 1942 at Salem United Church of Christ in Wayne, WI. Stella lived on the Albert homestead where she farmed with her husband, enjoyed her garden and flowers and doing crafts especially rug weaving. She was a member of St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church of Iron Ridge and the Ladies Aid of St. Matthews’s; the Golden Youth of Iron Ridge and the Washington County Historical Society.Stella is survived by her children; Alice Albert of Iron Ridge, Ella (Byron) Behrens of Crystal Lake, IL., Betty Albert of Iron Ridge, and Hubert L. Albert of Iron Ridge. Five grandsons, Paul Behrens of Kenosha, David Behrens of Crystal Lake, IL., Mark (Marianna) Behrens of Rosenheim, Germany, Michael (Michelle) Behrens of Crystal Lake, IL., and John (Sarah) Behrens of Appleton. Five great grandchildren, Jonah, Ella, Silas, Lydia, Anna, and soon to be a sixth great grandchild. Further survived by cousins, nieces, and other relatives and friends.Stella was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother and sister in law Edwin (Verna) Jung; sister and brother in law Lauretta (Milton) Glander; brothers in law and sisters in law Raymond (Edna) Albert and George (Sophia) Albert.Memorials may be made to St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church in Iron Ridge.
