Stephany Agnes Butterfield

January 21, 1916 - July 1, 2011

Stephany A. Butterfield, age 95, formerly of Chicago, died on Friday, July 1, 2011 at Eagle”s Wings in Beaver Dam.

The visitation will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Horicon on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at the church on Tuesday at 11:00 AM with Fr. Mike Petrie officiating. Burial will be at St. Malachy Cemetery in Horicon.

The former Stephany Agnes Partynski was born on January 21, 1916 in Chicago to Stanley and Mary (Krata) Partynski. In 1933, she was united in marriage with William J. Butterfield. Stephany lived in the Chicago area until the late 1980”s, then she moved to the Beaver Dam area. While in Beaver Dam, she was active with the Senior Center, working with the lunch program. She was a past member of St. Patrick”s Catholic Church in Beaver Dam and was a member of the Christian Women”s Society there.

Survivors are her daughter, Gwen (Roy) Mellenthien of Horicon; grandchildren, Colleen (Don) McCallum of Horicon, Brad (Lynn) Mellenthien of Milwaukee, and Claire (Jim) Haslow of Horicon; seven great grandchildren, Rebecca Pieper, Abbey, Anna and Cassidy McCallum, Ashley and Megan Mellenthien, and Emily Haslow, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother and four sisters.

The family would like to thank Hillside Hospice for their exceptional care that they gave Stephany.
