Susan A. Garcia, age 70, of Milwaukee, died on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Aurora St. Luke”s Medical Center.
The gathering will be at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 5400 W. Washington Blvd. in Milwaukee on Monday, January 14, 2013 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at the church on Monday at 1:30 PM with Rev. Richard J. Aiken officiating.
Susan A. Traver was born on August 4, 1942 in Milwaukee to Elmer and Ruth (Bautz) Traver. She had a love and passion for classical music and ballet dancing. Susan”s dream of becoming a ballerina changed into a dream of becoming a wife and mother when she met and fell in love with Silverio Garcia. They were united in marriage on January 20, 1962 in Milwaukee. Susan was dedicated to her six children”s well being and that has been passed down to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Silverio of Milwaukee; children; Adrian (Sherry) of Beaver Dam, Stephanie (Clayton) Farmer of North Carolina, Todd (Sarah Sherwin-Garcia) of Nevada, Keith of Milwaukee, Nathan of St. Francis, and youngest daughter and caregiver, Heather of Milwaukee; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Curt Sundin and Rev. Robert (Norma) Sundin, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Susan was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Samuel Garcia.
