My sincerest and deepest condolences to the entire family. I can only imagine the sadness you are all feeling at this difficult time. I wish I could say something that would lift this burden, or even make sense of it. If there is one thing that will make you miss him a little less, it is that your dad brought four very wonderful children into this world, mentored and parented you to adulthood, and so continues on through each of you ... and now your children. The world needs more people like Tom Murphy and it received four. What a wonderful gift. May God watch over, bless and protect each of you, removing your sadness and anxiety, until each of you are united with him again.

Mr. Murphy was my 7th grade teacher and Jr. High Football coach. He was always an inspiration to his students. He had kids at such an awkward age-but always knew how to talk to us and make a positive impression in our lives. My sympathy goes out to the whole Murphy family, especially Carrie. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this most difficult time.

Nick: How fast time has gone by, it''s been years since our whole gang spent so much time together in high school! Though I hadn''t seen your dad in quite some time... the first thing that came to mind when I heard of his passing was his bright smile! Whether we were all coming or leaving your house, he was always smiling! I know memeories of him will always bring a smile your face as well. I am so sorry for your loss. Give my best to your mom and your entire family.
