Thomas S. Brzezinski, age 67 of Beaver Dam, died on Monday March 21, 2011 at his home with his family around him, as the result of his 4th bout with cancer.
Visitation will be at the Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Thursday, March 24, 2011 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, where a rosary service will be held at 7:00 PM, and at church on Friday from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, 511 S. Spring Street in Beaver Dam, on Friday, March 25, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Fr. James Bergin, SVD will officiate. Burial will be at St. Michaels Cemetery in the Town of Beaver Dam, Dodge County, Wisconsin where the Beaver Dam American Legion Post # 146 will provide military honors.
Thomas was born July 4, 1943 in Beaver Dam, WI, the son of Stanley J. and Maryann M. (Glodowski) Brzezinski. He was married to Celine C. Lehner on September 4, 1965 at St. Peter”s Catholic Church, Beaver Dam. WI.
He was educated at St. Michaels Catholic Grade School, and Beaver Dam Public Schools and a graduate of Beaver Dam Sr. High School, Class of 1962. During his adult life he was employed at Monarch Range Co. until 1963. He joined the US Army Reserves -84th Division Infantry – Rail Splitters -from 1963-1969. He worked at Metalfab Inc. from 1964 to 1979 as a Tool & Die Maker. He opened his business, Tom”s Machine Shop, as owner and operator in 1972 until his retirement in July 2009.
He was a life time member of St. Michael”s Catholic Church, now St. Katharine Drexel Parish. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus, Council 1837 and the American Legion – John E. Miller Post # 146
His greatest enjoyment was building his Hot Rods for which he received numerous trophies in competition. He also enjoyed building projects for his children and grand children from doll houses to go-carts. He generously gave of his artistic talents through works created for relatives and friends and his customers appreciated his insight and ingenuity with their work orders.
He is survived by his wife Celine, their children Kurt (Diane) Brzezinski, Marcia (Bruce) Bleich, and Mark (Lori) Brzezinski; his grandchildren, Brittany & Thomas Bleich, Dylan & Drew Brzezinski; his sister Carol (Frank) Kuenzi, and brother Timothy (Loni) Brzezinski all of Beaver Dam; he is further survived by his aunts, Irene Buntrock and Evelyn Pritchard, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, his father in March,1982, and his mother in January, 1997.
