Timothy M. Miescke, 68, lifelong Horicon resident passed away on Monday, May 8, 2017 at his home surrounded by family.Timothy was born the son of Palmer and Elvira (Puls) Miescke on April 13, 1949. He was a graduate of Horicon High School and Moraine Park. Tim was married to Diane Wille on April 25, 1970 at St. Stephen Ev. Lutheran Church in Horicon. He was employed as a quality control inspector for John Deere in Horicon for 32 years until his retirement. Tim was an I.A.M. union member in Horicon. He was a member of the Horicon Fire Department. He served a term as an alderman for the City of Horicon and was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church in Horicon. Tim enjoyed a variety of both hunting and fishing as well as camping, wood cutting and gardening. Tim especially enjoyed playing pool with his son, Adam and friends. Tim is survived by his wife, Diane of Horicon; his children: Mindy (Jim) Branning of Weston, WI and Adam (Danielle) Miescke of Horicon; his grandchildren: Amanda Young and Oliver Lee Miescke; three step-granddaughters: Kammara, Kassidy and Jensen Branning; his sister-in-law, Lindy (Terry) Lewis of Harpers Ferry, IA; his brother, Thomas (Judy) Miescke of Beaver Dam; as well as other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents and his father and mother-in-law, Melvin and Norma Wille.A visitation will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Horicon on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. Rev. Sue Melrose will officiate. Interment will take place at Highland Memory Gardens, township of Trenton. The Miescke family would like to thank Pastor Sue Melrose and Heartland Hospice especially Chaplains Bob and Dave and nurses: Melissa and Erin for their wonderful spiritual and physical assistance and their friendship.
