Vernon M. Kamrath, age 89, of Reeseville, died Tuesday, June 2, 2013.
Visitation for Vern will be at the Murray Funeral Home, 214 S, Main Street in Reeseville, on Saturday, July 6, 2013 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 2:00 PM with Rev. Paul Vander Galien officiating. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery in Columbus.
Vernon Merlin Kamrath was born on January 26, 1924in the Town of Oak Grove, Dodge County, Wisconsin to the late Arthur and Mathilda (Gentz) Kamrath. He graduated from Juneau High School in 1942. In 1957, Vern was united in marriage with Dorothy Bibow and together they happily farmed in the Town of Lowell for 33 years. Vern was a thoughtful man and was always willing to help other, once saving a neighbor”s life by lifting a tractor tire off his chest. In 1991, they retired and moved to Reeseville. His wife preceded him in death in 2006. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Raymond, Edgar, Melvin, and Gilbert, as well as, three sisters, Verna, Gertrude, and Irene.
Vern is survived by two brothers, Arthur of Beaver Dam, and Wilmer of Rhinelander, one sister, Bernice Petrusha of Beaver Dam, other relatives and friends.
