Hartwig family, I will always remember Verona welcoming me into her life and home. She still took the time to write me a letter up until two years ago. She sure kept us in line. It wasn't discipline it was love. I will always cherish her memories.

Dearest family, Oh that my heart stings. It is so hard to let go of those one loves so much. The grieving process has begun and I know in my heart of hearts that it will take time. How I loved to visit with Auntie when I returned to Wisconsin for visits. She taught me as a youngster what "blue collar" hard work was all about, what it meant to respect other people, how important the development of our faith was. She was a real saint for me. A dignified lady who tried not to take life too seriously. Her smile and laugh always brightened my day. So many memories to cherish. From delivering the Milwaukee Sentinel newspaper to cleaning fish and wild game. She was my "rock" that I could come to with any concern I had. How I look forward to meeting up with her in our heavenly home. I wish I could be there to participate in the celebration of life. Know that you are all lifted up in our prayers.
