Vincent Louis Longo, Jr., age 71, of Mayville, WI, passed away on September 6, 2021, with his wife and family at his bedside. He was born in Fond du Lac, WI, on October 20, 1949, to Vincent and Mary (Emanuele) Longo.He graduated from Goodrich High School in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin in 1967.He married MaryBeth (Reinhardt) on September 19th, 1980, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. He belonged to St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville, WI.He was employed as an apprentice at Giddings and Lewis, followed by careers with: John Deere, Seats Incorporated, Oshkosh Trucking Company, Champion, Metals USA.Vince was an adamant fan of the Indianapolis Colts, New York Yankees, Boston Celtics and Michigan Wolverines. His favorite past time was playing golf, and the best times of Vince’s life included hosting get togethers and holidays with family. Vince would tell you not to be sad for him; he would say, “It is what it is and nothing else is as important as family.”Vince is survived by his wife, MaryBeth; children, Vincent (Meghan) Longo of Fitchburg, Christina Longo of Portland, Sal (Tara) Longo of Atlanta, sister Sister Hertha Longo CSA of Fond du Lac, brother Joe (Nanette) Longo of Fond du Lac, brother Mark Longo (Kathy Gregor) of Fond du Lac, sister Maria (Bob) McDermot of Fond du Lac, sister Catherine (Timothy) Abler of Fond du Lac. Grandchildren: Bryson and Addison LongoMany nieces and nephews, along with special family pets were very important in Vincent’s life. Preceding him in death are his daughter Tanya Longo, parents Vincent and Mary Longo, two brothers Jude Longo and Terance Longo, and nephew Jack Longo.Visitation and services: Due to the pandemic the family will be having a private celebration of life on a date of their choice. The family asks for you to honor their wishes during this difficult time.The family is extremely grateful for the care, love, and support that the Agnesian Cancer Center in Fond du Lac gave to Vincent during the last three years of his life as well as the UW Carbone Cancer Center. In lieu of flowers the family asks you to make a donation in memory of Vince Longo to the Agnesian Healthcare Foundation in Fond du Lac directed to the Cancer Center.
